Hi, I’m Whitney.

I am a Jesus-following wife to Nate and mom to Mollie & Reed. For most of my adult life, I’ve searched for ways to create and earn a little spending money while keeping my main priorities the main thing. My family, faith and ministry have always come first.
Which means I'm quite literally a serial side-gigger. And, most recently, a digital product entrepreneur.
My first Etsy shop started after I designed baby shower invitations for my friends. Years later, Blue Desk came into my life almost the exact same way: people kept asking for my help.
It turns out, I've picked up a pretty wide range of skills along the way. And all those years of creating, learning, troubleshooting and figuring things out for myself were building toward something.
All my creative marketing & design pieces started fitting together...
and Blue Desk Creative was born!
Yes, there really is a blue desk.
And I sit at it every day... usually with an iced coffee nearby, approximately 47 tabs open, and our three-pound Maltipoo in my lap.
We got it for free from an old church, painted it in our garage and I've loved it well. It's where strategies are built, graphics created, plans come together, and random problems get figured out.
More importantly, this little blue desk lets me do work I genuinely enjoy while helping others and my own family.

I do have a BSBA from the University of Arkansas. Woooo Pig! The Walton College of Business is renowned for its strong business education.
I have an important eye for detail, delivery and the customer's experience.
Common Sense & Simplicity
I don't believe more is always better.
More words don't necessarily make a better website. More posts don't automatically make better marketing. And complicated definitely doesn't mean professional.
I believe in clear messaging, thoughtful design, practical strategy, and making things easier.
Not Designed by AI
I do use AI for research and copy. But you won't find an AI generated design in my portfolio. I like to stand out with authentic designs no one else will have. I believe if you ask someone to pay for a service, they deserve more than a prompt.
